History of New York

As a big city it is New York has also a big history.

• At 625 it was called New Amsterdam.
• in the 1664 was invaded by the english people and change the name of the city to New York in honor to a duque called York. At that time the city had one of the most importants comercial harbour.
• At 1754 open up her first university and it became the capital of the EEUU during the Independece War.

• At 1835 it became the biggest city of New York and one of the first to abolish the slavery.
• At 1854 it's created central park, the first landscape park of the United States

• At 1904, after the underground it becames the global center for the industry, commercial and comunication.
• 20's, was known by the big skyscrapers and the most poblated city of the world surpassing London
• 60's are hard years, riots, crimes and racism.
• 90's are caracteritzate for the immigration of Asia and Latin America. thanks to the silcon valley house, new york reaches the top of the world for the new tecnology and take a stance again in the number one of population.
• 2001 of September (11-s) take place a terrorist attack at the twin towers causing more than 3000 victims and later, at 2009, it's built the freedom tower in her place (one trade center).
• In the actually New York is the most populated city of the united states.
